Our main priority to the public in Tipton Green is to give them a ﬁrm belief and
trust that we are providing them with the local policing they need to make their
communities a safe and enjoyable place to live, work and socialise in.
We are committed to continually strengthening our good relations with our local
communities in listening to their problems and working hand in hand with them to
develop and implement effective and lasting solutions.
Concerns by public over regular drug dealing activity/use.
Drugs warrant executed recently at Leveson Drive, Tipton, where a large quantity of what is believed to be Class A controlled substance was seized along with a quantity of Cannabis. One adult male from the address was cautioned for the possession of the cannabis and another adult male is currently on Police bail, pending further enquiries.
Motorbikes causing ASB in the Tipton Green area.
At the end of Summer 2016, together with the Gt Bridge & Princes End N'hood Teams, a Motorbike operation was conducted across the Tipton area. Officers spoke to the owners and riders of motorbikes, checked documents and ownership. All in order on this occasion however more Motorbike Ops are planned in the coming weeks. Over the last couple of months, Tipton Green and Gt Bridge N'hood Officers have recovered and seized over 10 stolen motorbikes/mopeds from across our two beats. An injunction has been issued by Birmingham High Court which prohibits car cruising activity across the Black Country.
Since the inception of this Injunction, car cruising incidents across the Tipton area have significantly decreased, however, this is an ongoing operation and will be closely monitored.
Youth causing ASB in the Tipton Green area.
The Tipton Green N'hood Team received complaints from residents in Dudley Port over the Summer months regarding the gathering of large groups of youths at the rear of the flats. As a result, the Team conducted robust high vis patrols at material times in the area, collecting details of the ASB perpertrators. The Team also executed a warrant at one of the flats where the youths were frequenting and have also charged one local youth with Causing a Public Nuisance as a result of his continued ASB in the area. We're pleased to say that since this robust action by the Team, there have been no further reported incidents in this area!
