Police have been granted extra time to question a man and woman on suspicion of terrorism offences.

The man and woman - aged 32 and 31 respectively - were arrested in Dover on Saturday (7 December) and continue to be held in the West Midlands under terrorism legislation.

Police have launched an investigation after a man was found with stab wounds in Birmingham city centre yesterday evening (7 December).

Officers were called to reports of an attack at 6.40pm, and found the 20-year-old lying next to Subway on Jennens Road.
