West Midlands Police charge further three over Ladywood shooting
West Midlands Police has charged three more men with conspiring to kill a man who was shot dead in a drive-by shooting in Birmingham.
Dante Mullings was one of three men in a car parked in St Vincent Street West, Ladywood, on 7 May when a vehicle pulled up alongside and fired shots.
The 23-year-old suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene, while two other men were also injured.
West Midlands Police detectives yesterday (Wednesday 8 August) arrested four people in connection with the man’s death - and three have now been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
Mohammed Qadir, aged 18 from Dunsink Road, Aston, and two teenagers, aged 16 and 17, who cannot be named for legal reasons, were charged and remanded last night. They are due to appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning (Thursday 8 August).
A 20-year-old man from Lozells has been bailed pending further enquiries.
Three other men were also charged with conspiracy to commit murder last month and are currently on remand.
A 26-year-old man arrested on 16 July was also released on bail pending further enquiries.
An 18-year-old was also arrested on 29 July on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder and was also bailed pending further enquiries.
