Police release images after stabbing in Aston
Police have launched an investigation after a man was attacked in Aston Street, Birmingham, last month.
A 19-year-old man was waiting for a taxi close to Aston University just after midnight on 19 September when he was approached by a man he did not know and attacked.
He was taken to hospital for treatment for a stab injury and was released from hospital the following day. He is expected to make a full recovery.
Officers want to trace the man pictured, but have urged the public to be cautious as the circumstances surrounding the attack are not yet clear. If you see him in public, please call police.
DC Laurence Green said: “We are working hard to piece together what happened. We’re following numerous leads, and forensic opportunities are on-going. In addition to this the local neighbourhood team have increased patrols in the area and these will continue for as long as necessary.”
