Police investigate after man stabbed near Coventry kebab shop
We’re investigating after a 29-year-old man was stabbed in Coventry yesterday evening (25 February).
He was attacked on New Union Street at around 7pm and ran into a nearby shop for help. Staff at the shop called 999.
The man was taken to hospital with multiple stab injuries. At present his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
A scene is currently being held for forensic examination to help detectives determine the circumstances around this attack.
CCTV is being reviewed as our investigations are ongoing and neighbourhood officers are out conducting reassurance patrols in the area.
An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding, assault and criminal damage, and will be questioned in due course.
