Murder investigation launched in Coventry

Detectives have launched a murder investigation after a man sadly lost his life last night in Coventry (1 June).
We were called to reports of an injured man taken to hospital at around 10:10pm. Unfortunately, despite the best efforts of medical staff he later died.
The 18-year-old is thought to have been stabbed shortly before on Middle Ride in the Willenhall area of the city.
An 18-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of murder not long after and is currently in custody.
The incident is thought to be domestic related and we’re not looking for anyone else at this stage.
Detective Inspector Hannah Whitehouse, from our homicide team, said: “This is a tragic loss of a young man’s life.
“An investigation is underway and a forensic examination of the scene is currently taking place as we try to establish what happened.
“I’d urge anyone with any information to contact us as soon as they can.”
If you have any information please contact us by calling 101, quoting log number 5026 of 1 June.
Alternatively, Crimestoppers can be contacted anonymously on 0800 555 111.
