Fresh appeal after woman hit by car dies

We've launched a fresh appeal for information after a woman hit by a car in Moseley has sadly died.

The 46-year-old suffered serious injuries after being struck by a Ford Focus in Salisbury Road at around 8pm last Thursday (25 February).

She was taken to hospital but died on Saturday. We've specialist officers supporting her family at this devastating time.

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from our serious collision investigation unit, said: "We know this is a deeply distressing time for her family and friends.

"They asked for privacy to grieve and we're now working to establish what caused this collision to occur. We remain keen to hear from anybody who was in the area and may have dash cam footage."

The driver of the Ford Focus remained at the scene and is helping with our enquiries.
