We’ve arrested two suspected robbers following an armed police chase this afternoon (Thursday 2 April), after a stolen car was spotted in Coventry.

A white BMW car which was stolen in a carjacking from Glebe Close on Friday 20 March was spotted near Beaconsfield Road at around 12pm this afternoon and pursued by officers.

The car came to a stop around half an hour later following a high speed chase, where the three occupants of the car ran from the scene.

A 17-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of theft of a car where they were found near to Occupation Road and have been taken into police custody.

Helicopter searches are continuing to trace the driver of the car who fled the scene.
