Combat knife found in a park as teens charged with robbery

A large combat knife has been recovered near a park after West Midlands Police were called to reports of a knife-point robbery.

Officers were alerted at 10.20pm on Saturday night (12 Jan) to reports of a group of male youths threatening a boy and girl – both aged 15 – with a knife in Princess Alice Park, Sutton Coldfield, before fleeing with their mobile phones.

West Midlands Police cops flooded the area and arrested four youths while a daylight search of the area the following morning uncovered a sheathed, serrated-edge knife.
