Caring cops donate fresh fruit and veg to local care home

#CaringCops | Neighbourhood officers in the Hillfields area of Coventry have worked with a local food wholesaler to donate a bumper crop of fruit and veg to a care home.

The team were patrolling in Swan Lane over the weekend when they were offered the generous donation from Charlie's Multi Foods.

The owner wanted to express his thanks to the city’s police officers during these testing times.

It was a lovely gesture but we thought the fresh produce would be better directed towards some of the more vulnerable people in our community.

Our officers are reporting some lovely goodwill gestures and great community spirit while they’re out and about in our communities.

We’re still out there on the frontline helping people through these challenging times and trying to keep everyone safe. We’ll get through this together.
