Arrest made after teen stabbed in Walsall

We’ve arrested a young man after a teenager was stabbed in Walsall on Wednesday afternoon (24 February).

The 16-year-old boy was stabbed in the stomach on Coldmore Road, Coldmore at around 3.30pm.

He remains in hospital in a stable condition.

An 18-year-old man from Walsall has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is currently in custody.

We continue to examine CCTV and are conducting other enquiries to understand what happened. We’re keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything.
