Appeal after stabbing in Perry Barr

Police are appealing for information after a teenager was stabbed in Perry Barr yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 16 January).

A 19-year-old suffered multiple stab wounds after what is believed to have been a targeted attack in Aldridge Road, near the junction of Holford Drive, at around 3.15pm.

He was taken to hospital with injuries which are not life-threatening.

Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses and want to trace a black Audi A3 which was in the area at the time.

Detective Inspector Richard Marsh, from Force CID, said: "We want to hear from anyone who has information about this attack which we believe was targeted at this stage.

"We are particularly keen to speak to the occupants of the Audi who could assist with our enquiries."

Anyone with information can call Force CID on 101; quoting log 1344 of 16 January or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
