Communicating the latest policing news and information quickly and accurately to our communities is a priority for us.

Our busy Corporate Communications team make sure that the right information goes to the right people at the right time.

West Midlands Police is leading on many new ways for you to keep in touch with what’s happening across the West Midlands.

All our latest news and information can be found on this website under 'Local News'.

We also run several successful social media accounts. Our twitter feed is the best place to find news as it's happening. We also have over 250 officers and staff tweeting local news to over 600 followers.

We have taken part in a number of documentaries and would ask anyone who wishes their request to be considered to provide further information here.

The Corporate Communications team also develop campaigns to help prevent crime and tackle force issues. They also oversee internal communications for staff including producing an internal on-line daily newspaper.

We aim to be open and transparent in our communication at all times.

The office is open Monday – Friday 6am – 7pm and Saturdays and Sundays between 7.30am and 3.30pm. For critical incidents outside these hours, our call press office facility is available through the Force Control Centre.
