Will you qualify for compensation?
Apart from your own vehicle insurance, there is no automatic source of compensation if your vehicle has been stolen or broken into.
You may be entitled to claim compensation from the offender if he/she is caught.
If you think you may qualify, make a note of:
- Any expenses you have incurred as a result of the offence, for example, the cost of repairing your vehicle
- Any loss of earnings you have suffered
- Keep any receipts, estimates or other documents which might support your claim
