Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
Speeding motorists.Complaints are often received about speeding motorists across our neighbourhood. To combat this issue we are adopting a partnership approach. We are working with the Highways department and looking at longer term measures on our most problematic routes. We have also enlisted the help of the fire service who educate identified offenders by showing accident scene photographs. Finally, we the police continue run Pro Laser Radar operations at various locations across our area.
Speeding motorists.: 25/11/13 Update - Langley Road 328 vehicles were screened of which 10 were speeding. Highest recorded was 40mph. Coppice Road 202 vehicles screened of which 1 was speeding. Highest recorded was 35mph. Windsor Avenue 70 vehicles screened 3 speeding. These locations will again be utilised to conduct Pro laser operations during the month of December.
Your neighbourhood policing team is working hard to ensure your personal concerns about the area in which you live are identified and acted upon quickly, and that you are given regular feedback about the action that has been taken.
To help us do this more effectively, we would like to ask you to get involved.
We hold regular meetings across Wolverhampton, where you can raise any issues that are affecting your community with officers from your local police team. Meeting dates for this neighbourhood are listed above.
If you are not able to attend the meetings, you can still let us know your thoughts by contacting your neighbourhood team via the telephone number or email address at the top of this page. Alternatively, you can speak to one of your officers or PCSOs as they patrol your streets.
You can also have your say on whether you agree or disagree with the issues that have been identified as priorities for your neighbourhood. Simply tick ‘yes’ or ‘no’ in the priorities section and then submit your vote. If you do disagree with the priorities that have been set, remember to contact your neighbourhood sergeant to tell them what you feel the priorities for your area should be.
Another way to get involved is to set up or join a Neighbourhood Watch group. To find out more about Neighbourhood Watch, please contact Partnerships Officer Sharon Martin on 0345 113 5000 ext 7871 6575 or visit www.neighbourhoodwatch.net
