WOLVERHAMPTON police and Wolverhampton City Council are inviting the local community to join in the fun at their annual family fun day.

The 'free' fun day takes place on Friday 10 August 2012 from 10am – 6pm at West Park, Wolverhampton.

There will be loads to see and do including football competitions with the Wolves Kickz project and rappers and dancers will be performing along with 'Stay Fresh' an up and coming group that have performed on BBC1 Xtra. Signal 107 will be broadcasting live throughout the day.

Visitors will also be able to test their aim in the laser quest dome or paintball range or try out the inflatable assault course and bungee run. There will also be many stalls and face painting stands.

Raffle tickets will be available for a chance to win some great prizes and all proceedings will be donated to the Compton Hospice and the Haven charity.

PC Joseph Trusselle has helped organise this event, he said; "Last year was an amazing success with over 1000 visitors, so this year I am hoping for more people to come along and join in what has historically been a great day.

"The money raised from the raffle tickets will go to two fantastic charities, we raised over £1200 last year, so I'm hoping to raise more this year".

If you would like to take part in the football competition with a group of friends or by yourself visit the Kickz Projects Facebook page at www.facebook.com/wolveskickz
