Walsall police discover cocaine hidden in kitchen cooker hood

POLICE in Walsall successfully executed a drugs warrant today (6 July) and uncovered a quantity of small drugs bags containing what is believed to be Cocaine.
An address in Edison Road, Beechdale, Walsall was searched at around 8.00am by officers as part of an ongoing drugs operation.
A 20-year-old woman and a 22-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs and are currently in custody helping police with enquiries.
The address was searched following community concerns about drug activity in the area.
Officers recovered 14 bags of a substance believed to be cocaine concealed within the cooker hood in the kitchen.

Sergeant Chris Jones, said: "This is a great result for us acting on the concerns raised by the local community. It is the continued support from the public that helps us to eradicate drug criminality in the area.
"We hope that today reassures the local community we will take action on any information received and encourage reports about crime in their area."
