Man and woman arrested under terrorist act bailed

A MAN and a woman from Birmingham, arrested yesterday (October 4) on suspicion of possessing documents likely to be of use to someone committing or preparing an act of terrorism, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
The two, a brother and sister aged 23 and 18, were detained at their home address in the Small Heath area of the city.
The arrests were pre-planned and not made in response to any threat to public safety.
Police seized computers and other electronic devices which are undergoing forensic examination.
Officers advised that owing to the number of files which will have to be assessed, the investigation is likely to take some time to conclude.
