Action - community priorities

The priorities for Druids Heath neighbourhood are:

  1. Anti social behaviour - Topfield House, Dunford Croft (Ongoing)
Residents have stated that there are large groups of youths congregating in the communial ground floor area and are being irate and loud in their behaviour. Also brought to the attention at the meeting is that some residents are allowing their pets to urinate between the flights of stairs in Topfield House.
  2. Phoenix Public House - Pound Road / Bells Lane
The licensed owner of the Phoenix Public House stated there have been recent Anti Social Behaviour outside of the pub as well as graffiti being scrolled along the newley painted walls outside. The owner stated that the damage may have been caused by the increase of youths congregating outised of the pub.

Answers - feedback and solutions

The following are the issues raised from our last neighbourhood meeting and what we are doing to tackle them:

  • Anti social behaviour - Easterton Croft
Patrols have been conducted in and around the area of Easterton Croft. There has been the one recorded police log since the last tasking meeting which has no direct link to the alleged anti social behaviour.
  • Anti social behaviour - Shrewton Avenue / Netheravon Close
Operation Marigraph has been in force since 28th September and will continue for the near future with high visibility patrols by the neighbourhood policing team. To date, there have been 15 stop checks recorded as well as identifying offenders. Numerous properties in Netheravon Close, Shrewton Avenue have been visited in order to identify any community concerns.
  • Mini motos
A resident from Pegleg Walk has been identified for possessing mini moto vehicles. Mini moto signage should shortly be authorised and erected throughout the Druids Heath area.
  • Other updates
Residents have stated that the newly erected goal posts in Manningford Park are the incorrect size, this matter will shortly be corrected by the Druids Heath Management Board. A resident highlighted that the concrete bollards are insecure in Saxleby Close. Residents are requested to attend the Halfords Car Store to have anti theft screws fixed onto their number plates which will be free of charge.

How can you get involved?

Our neighbourhood policing teams are working hard to ensure that your personal concerns about the area in which you live are identified and acted upon quickly, and that you are frequently given positive and useful feedback about the action we have taken.

But to do this we need your help.

We would love to hear from you about any issues you think the police should be tackling in your community.

There are lots of ways you can do this, including attending one of the police meetings that are held regularly, calling or emailing the team using the details above, or you could simply stop one of our officers or PCSOs in the street and have a chat.

Fix My Street is also a brilliant way to voice your concerns, anonymously if you wish! Why not visit the website at www.fixmystreet.com, pop your postcode in and see what issues have been raised about your street?

You could even get involved with your local Neighbourhood Watch by visiting www.neighbourhoodwatch.net.

Whichever method you prefer, we hope to hear from you soon!
