Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
Speed Watch.
Concerns have been raised by residents living in Oakham Avenue and Selbourne Road regarding the speed that vehicles are being driven along these roads. We will organise a number of speed watch events where offending motorists will be spoken to and warned re the consequences of their driving and the likelihood they may face prosecution for exceeding the speed limit.Feedback
Speed Watch.: A further speed survey was carried out today at several locations across the ward. Disappointingly over 30 cars were recorded exceeding the speed limit with one vehicle recorded at travelling 50mph. I now intend to liaise with the local authoritys Road Safety dept and our own mobile resources to see what other actions we are able to take to reduce speed and promote road safety.
Anti social behaviour.
Following several reports of youths congregating in garage recesses, patrols will be a priority for sites in Watson Close, Cromwell Street, Price Street, Bishops Close and Grove Street. Reports include minor damage and evidence of cannabis smoking and positive action will be taken against any persons seen commiting offences.Feedback
Anti social behaviour.: Patrols will continue for the next month in watsons close, Price Street, Cromwell Street and other nearby roads following reports of youth concregating in the garage recesses smoking drugs and making a nuisance of themselves.
Anti social behaviour.
We have been alerted to a group of youths who are meeting in the alleyway that runs between Green Park Road and Lupin Road, Kates Hill. There was an incident of criminal damage to a fence in the alleyway and reprots from local residents of youths swearing, Playfighting and smoking cannabis causing them to feel vulnerable and indimated. I intend to arrange a site visit with the local crime prevention officer and local councillor to see what options we have in making the alleyway safer and to see if fencing or establised planting can be put into this vacant area adjacent to the alleyway.Feedback
Anti Social Behaviour.: a further 5 youths were encountered in the alley this evening, following a search a small bag of cannabis was recovered and a street caution issued to the offender. letters will be sent to the parents of all persons encountered.
