UPDATE: Investigation launched after man dies following collision in Quarry Bank

A MAN has been arrested in connection with the death of a man in Quarry Bank yesterday afternoon (Tuesday 20 August).
The 26-year-old was killed when he was involved in a collision with a lorry on Thorns Road, just after 3.30pm.
Police and colleagues from the ambulance service attended but despite their best effort he was pronouced dead at the scene.
Officers believe the victim has been involved in a dispute with another man at a hand car wash in Thorns Road moments before the collision.
After making a number of enquiries, detectives this afternoon (Wednesday) arrested a 21-year-old man from an address in Quarry Bank on suspicion of manslaughter.
Detective Sergeant Jim Munro, from Force CID, said: "This collision happened at a busy time in the afternoon and I know there would have been a number of people in the area that witnessed it.
"I'm also keen to hear from anyone who has any information about the dispute the man was involved in just before the collision.
"If you saw anything that could help our investigation, please come forward as soon as possible."
