Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
Anti Social Behaviour Edgwick area.
The Edgwick area has been identified as having a disproportionate number of incidents compared with it's size. Residents living around the area have reported groups of people causing issues and have been concerned regarding the types of behaviour that is taking place. We have patrols in place to ensure that we combat the behaviour and are working with partners to put in place long term solutions.Feedback
16/5/2013.: The Edgwick area is now high on the agenda for all service provider and partner agencies. We have a patrol plan in place that will enable my officers to be more visible in the area. We are working with providers of youth activities to allow events to take place in the forthcoming half term holiday. There are events in Red House Park on the 28th and 30th of May 2013 between 3pm and 5pm for people aged between 8 and 18 years.
Anti Social Behaviour Station Street West.
As a Force we treat reports of Anti-Social Behaviour very seriously. We have been receiving reports of individuals and groups causing issues to residents and businesses in this locality, predominantly on and Friday and Saturday night.Feedback
16/5/2013.: We have been finding skimming devices on a cash point near to this area. We would like to remind people to check any cash machine prior to use and if you notice anything suspicious, do not use the machine and contact the bank. We continue to patrol the area extensively and engage with housing providers to deal with offenders in this road.
Anti-social behaviour in Finbarr Close.
Finbarr Close is a cul de sac located off Cobden Street in the Paradise area of Foleshill. There have been reports of anti-social behaviour ongoing in the close with children playing football in the street area damaging cars and intimidating other residents.Feedback
16/5/2013.: Following on from a number of housing visits that we have completed a number of housing visits to addresses where there have been problems identified. Following consultation with Coventry City Council one of the street lamp columns will be changed so that a dome hawk camera can be fitted, so that if any further enforcement action is needed then we will have CCTV evidence to support that action. Coventry Sports Foundation are running diversionary activities in the area for the summer period. .
Officers and PCSOs from your neighbourhood policing team want you to be involved in the decisions that affect the place where you live. Listening to you helps us to improve our service and make positive changes in the community.
Here’s how you can get involved:
• Contact your local team by telephone or email
• Visit your local police station
• Stop an officer or PCSO on patrol and have a chat
• Find us on Facebook or Twitter from the menu on the right hand side of this page
• Follow one of our inspector blogs from the same menu on the right
• Join or start up your own Neighbourhood Watch scheme
• Report anti-social behaviour via the It’s Your Call hotline on 024 7683 1300
• Report environmental concerns to www.fixmystreet.com
• Call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 with information about crime.
You can also find us out and about in the community at:
• Street briefings – meet local officers on your doorstep, often in the police community van. This allows us to travel to different areas, offering advice, support and the opportunity to have your say on policing.
• Police surgeries – drop in on the day and talk to us about your concerns. No appointment necessary.
• Ward Forums – run in the evening by the council and led by one of the three councillors responsible for each of the city’s 18 wards. Open to everyone, including the public and other agencies, the forums are about making life in our neighbourhoods better together.
• Residents’ Associations – there are dozens of groups representing residents’ views across the city. They are run by local people for local people and help to build a stronger sense of community in Coventry.
Details of street briefings and police surgeries are advertised on each neighbourhood page of this website; along with some ward forums and residents’ association meetings.
Whichever method of communication you choose to use, we look forward to hearing from you.
