CCTV image released after watches stolen from a Coventry jewellers

POLICE in Coventry have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with a city centre jewellery theft.

The theft happened at Goldsmiths jewellers in West Orchards Shopping Centre on Tuesday 24 April around 2pm.

A man described in his thirties entered the store and asked to look at a tray of watches. He then snatched two Tag Heuer watches worth over £6,000 and ran from the store.

He is around 5ft 7" tall, with mousey coloured hair, had a local accent and has a distinctive tattoo on his neck which says 'Natalie'.

Police are appealing for any information that will help trace the man or the watches. If you have any information then you are urged to contact Coventry police on 101.
