Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
Youths causing ASB around Skate area in Perry Park.
Agreed April 2013: There have been several reports of youths causing ASB at this location by littering and fighting amongst themselves. This is having an affect on other local youths and residents who do not deem this behaviour acceptable in open view of the road way in front of passing traffic. .Feedback
Youths causing ASB around Skate area in Perry Park.: Local Park Warden and Environmental Health Warden are regularly in the area and monitoring the issues of Littering. Due to the later nights increased high visible presence from the Perry Barr Neighbourhood Team
Witton Environmental Issues.
Agreed April 2013: The Witton area has been identified as having a number of environmental issues such as littering, as a result of youths hanging around in the area, as well as from fans who attend Villa Park on match days. This has a general negative effect on the area which ultimately can lead to a rise in ASB and crime.Feedback
Witton Environmental Issues.: Due to the on going reports of illegal fly tipping in the area, the environmental Warden has recently had some success on identifying the offenders of fly tipping and will be prosecuted. Patrols will continue in the area. The local community including the Perry Barr Neighbour hood team are arranging a community clean up day on 25th May.
Walsall Road/Tower Hill crossings.
Agreed April 2013:There have been concerns raised by local members of the community regarding recent fatal accidents at the traffic light junction at Walsall Road and Tower Hill. The concerns are with the crossing facilities and the layout of the road for pedestrians, the location of the bus stop on Beeches Road, which is causing an obstruction of the junction by traffic waiting for buses to move on, and with vehicles speeding and doing illegal u-turns.Feedback
Walsall Road/Tower Hill crossings.: Raised at a mgt level between Local Councillors and Highways Agency . There is a local campaign to have significant alterations made in the area
Our neighbourhood policing teams aim to ensure that any concerns you have about the area in which you live are identified and acted upon quickly.
To be able to do this we need your help and support. We want to hear from you about any issues you think we should be tackling in your community.
There are lots of ways that you can get involved, and we have listed some suggestions below:
• Come along to one of our community meetings which are held regularly held in your neighbourhood.
• Call West Midlands Police on 0345 113 5000 and ask to speak to your neighbourhood team. Alternatively, you can email your neighbourhood officers.
• Join a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme: visit www.neighbourhoodwatch.net for more information and to find a local scheme.
• Give information about crime anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Crimestoppers are not the police, but an independent charity working to fight crime.
Whichever method you prefer, we hope to hear from you soon and don’t forget you can always find out the latest priorities and meeting dates for your neighbourhood here on our website.
