Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
House Burglary.
Over the past 6 months there has been an increase in burglary dwelling offences, particularly in the area of Barwell Rd. In most cases rear windows/doors have been forced, whilst the occupants are out, and electrical items stolen.Feedback
Neighbourhood Watch Group Established.: To tackle the rise in burglaries additional high visibility and plain clothes patrols have been conducted. Two people have been arrested with one being charged with 8 offences and currently awaiting trail. The other remains on police bail. Several dozen properties in the area have been visited and crime prevention equipmented fitted. The local residents have also formed a successful neighbourhood watch scheme to assist the police in reducing crime in their area and over the past month there has been a reduction in offences.
Murder of Mohammed Saleem.
At approximately 10.15pm on Monday 29th April 2013 75-year-old Mohammed Saleem was tragically murdered in Little Green Lane, Small Heath. This crime is now subject of a major police investigation to bring the person or persons responsible to justice.Feedback
Crimestoppers offer #194;£10000 reward for information.: The murder of Mohammed Saleem is an ongoing major police investigation with over 40 detectives working on the case. The independent charity Crimestoppers have now offered a reward of up to #194;£10000 to anyone providing information that leads to the arrest and conviction of any person or persons responsible for the death of Mr Saleem. Anybody with information is urged to contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. Alternatively, information can be sent using their secure online form at www.crimestoppers-uk.org.

To be able to do this we need your help and support. We want to hear from you about any issues you think we should be tackling in your community.
There are lots of ways that you can get involved, and we have listed some suggestions below:
• Come along to one of our community meetings which are held regularly held in your neighbourhood.
• Call West Midlands Police on 0345 113 5000 and ask to speak to your neighbourhood team. Alternatively, you can email your neighbourhood officers.
• Join a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme: visit www.neighbourhoodwatch.net for more information and to find a local scheme.
• Give information about crime anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Crimestoppers are not the police, but an independent charity working to fight crime.
