    Priorities and Issues

Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:

    • House Burglary.

Over the past 6 months there has been an increase in burglary dwelling offences, particularly in the area of Barwell Rd. In most cases rear windows/doors have been forced, whilst the occupants are out, and electrical items stolen.

      AGREE / DISAGREE1

    • Murder of Mohammed Saleem.

At approximately 10.15pm on Monday 29th April 2013 75-year-old Mohammed Saleem was tragically murdered in Little Green Lane, Small Heath. This crime is now subject of a major police investigation to bring the person or persons responsible to justice.

    Get involved

Our neighbourhood policing teams aim to ensure that any concerns you have about the area in which you live are identified and acted upon quickly.

To be able to do this we need your help and support. We want to hear from you about any issues you think we should be tackling in your community.

There are lots of ways that you can get involved, and we have listed some suggestions below:
    • Come along to one of our community meetings which are held regularly held in your neighbourhood.
    • Call West Midlands Police on 0345 113 5000 and ask to speak to your neighbourhood team. Alternatively, you can email your neighbourhood officers.
    • Join a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme: visit www.neighbourhoodwatch.net for more information and to find a local scheme.
    • Give information about crime anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Crimestoppers are not the police, but an independent charity working to fight crime.

Whichever method you prefer, we hope to hear from you soon and don’t forget you can always find out the latest priorities and meeting dates for your neighbourhood here on our website.
