Priorities and Issues

Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
Shop Thefts in Cotteridge. As Christmas approaches, one of the key areas of business that West Midlands Police need to focus on are Shop Thefts and crimes associated with them. Over the past few months, Cotteridge has been highlighted as being a repeat victim of Thefts, in particular Tates Spar and we need to work together to tackle the issue head on. This is only likely to get worse over the next few weeks.
What is being done?.: All out days planned throughout December so please look out for the team in Cotteridge and surrounding areas. Successful 'All out day' took place on Sat 30th Nov by the whole team. More to come... Update 8th Dec: Meeting held on 2nd Dec with some of the local businesses who will be working together with our team to prevent crime and disorder over the next few weeks.
Our neighbourhood policing teams aim to ensure that any concerns you have about the area in which you live are identified and acted upon quickly.
To be able to do this we need your help and support. We want to hear from you about any issues you think we should be tackling in your community.
There are lots of ways that you can get involved, and we have listed some suggestions below:
• Come along to one of our community meetings which are held regularly held in your neighbourhood.
• Call West Midlands Police on 0345 113 5000 and ask to speak to your neighbourhood team. Alternatively, you can email your neighbourhood officers.
• Join a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme: visit www.neighbourhoodwatch.net for more information and to find a local scheme.
• Give information about crime anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Crimestoppers are not the police, but an independent charity working to fight crime.
Whichever method you prefer, we hope to hear from you soon and don’t forget you can always find out the latest priorities and meeting dates for your neighbourhood here on our website.
