Your neighbourhood team are currently working with the community and partners to address the following:
Anti-social behaviour, The Fold and Surrounding roads.
Police have received a number of complaints from residents, businesses and customers about anti-social behaviour at The Fold and Hawkesley Square, Kings Norton. This includes groups congregating near to the shops and in the local area engaging in disorder and possibly involved in drug dealing. .Feedback
Anti-social behaviour, The Fold and surrounding roads.: Local neighbourhood officers have increased their patrols in and around the Fold and the surrounding areas. They have been engaging with as many youths as possible in an effort to divert them from causing or getting involved in any anti-social behaviour. Youths are also being encouraged to participate in one of the many groups that are being set-up or run by local police or youth workers in the area. The area is being robustly policed and work is being undertaken in partnership with BCC, youth workers and other agencies to tackle possible drug dealing. .
Clearance zone.
Long-term clearance / regeneration programme driven by BCC which is supported by partner agencies including Fire, Youth services and Police. Within this geographical area there has been an increase in incidents of criminal damage, arson and thefts. .Feedback
Clearance Zone.: This work is ongoing and can also be described as long-term. The local neighbourhood police team patrol the clearance zone as part of their daily patrols, whether it is on foot or in a vehicle. There are also close links in place with the security company who are at this zone 24hrs a day. Regular meetings are conducted and all agencies are kept up-to-date with information from each other. In general there has been a marked decrease in the number of offences reported and also the number of people the police have encountered in this area. To be able to do this we need your help and support. We want to hear from you about any issues you think we should be tackling in your community.
There are lots of ways that you can get involved, and we have listed some suggestions below:
• Come along to one of our community meetings which are held regularly held in your neighbourhood.
• Call West Midlands Police on 0345 113 5000 and ask to speak to your neighbourhood team. Alternatively, you can email your neighbourhood officers.
• Join a local Neighbourhood Watch scheme: visit www.neighbourhoodwatch.net for more information and to find a local scheme.
• Give information about crime anonymously to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or visiting www.crimestoppers-uk.org. Crimestoppers are not the police, but an independent charity working to fight crime.
