Woman charged with Rednal robbery

A WOMAN will appear in court this morning, accused of robbing a convenience store in Rednal.

The woman, aged 38, was arrested on Saturday in connection with a robbery at the Spar store on Edgewood Road a week prior, on 25 February.

Police were called to the shop after two people entered the store and allegedly threatened staff with an imitation firearm and an iron bar. Cash and cigarettes were stolen.

The woman was questioned by detectives following her arrest and was later charged with the offence of robbery. She will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning, 5 March.
