Police appeal for witnesses to Highters Heath traffic collision

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a fatal road traffic collision which happened on Highters Heath Lane in Birmingham yesterday evening (Thursday 1 March) to come forward.

Police were called just after 7pm yesterday to a report of a collision between a motorbike and a 66 year-old female.

The woman, who is not being named at this stage, was taken to hospital where she later died.

A 41 year-old male was also taken to hospital with minor injuries. He was later arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving. He remains in custody this morning helping police with enquiries.

Anybody with information is asked to contact the Collision Investigation Unit on the non-emergency 101 number.
