SEVEN MORE ARRESTED OVER DISORDER AT BIRMINGHAM PROTESTS

A FURTHER seven men have been arrested following the disorder during two protests in Birmingham last year.

They are all men and are:

Aged 20 from Erdington - Charged with violent disorder
Aged 15 from Tysley - Charged with violent disorder and S.18 wounding
Aged 21 from Warstock, Birmingham - Bailed re violent disorder
Aged 14 from Moseley - Charged with violent disorder
Aged 17 from Smethwick - Bailed re S. 20 wounding
Aged 23 from Saltley – charged violent disorder
Aged 17 from Ladywood - charged for violent disorder

Det Inspector Buck Rogers is leading the enquiry into the August 5 and September 8 protests.

He said: "Seven more people have been arrested as part of our ongoing investigation.

"We would like to say thank you to the people who came forward after seeing the pictures in the media or on the internet.

"This investigation continues... we will continue until we have followed up all lines of enquiry.

"Pictures of those outstanding are on the internet. These are serious offences and we want to bring those responsible forward to face justice."
