West Midlands Police is one of the best forces in the country for accurately recording crime data according to Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary (HMIC).
In a report published today (Thursday 28 August) the police watchdog highlights WMP’s efforts to promote ethical working practices and integrity in all areas of business, despite cuts the force has had to make over the past few years.
West Midlands Police has renewed calls to the public to help them identify would-be terrorists planning to travel to Syria and Iraq.
The appeal comes after one of Britain’s most senior counter terrorism officers, Assistant Commissioner Mark Rowley, revealed there had been a rise in the number of Syria-related investigations in London and the West Midlands.
Police are concerned for the welfare of a Walsall man missing for almost a week.
Jason Whitehouse, 43 from Willenhall, was last seen on 21 August and a short time later he walked out of Walsall Manor hospital whilst he was receiving treatment.
