Tributes paid to Birmingham collision victim

Tributes have been paid to a ‘wonderful father and loving partner’ who died in a Birmingham collision earlier this week.

Paul Graham, from Selly Oak, was hit by a car on Metchley Lane, Edgbaston on Sunday (11 June).

The 50-year-old was taken to hospital but despite the best efforts of medical staff died the following day.
In a statement his family said:  “Paul was a wonderful father and loving partner and brother who will be sadly missed by his family and friends. We ask that our privacy is respected at this dreadful time."

Detective Sergeant Paul Hughes, from the Regional Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This is a tragic set of circumstances for all involved. Paul’s family continue to be supported by our dedicated Family Liaison Team. I would ask at this stage that their privacy is respected.

"I would like to appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not yet been in touch with police to contact either myself or my team to help us piece together the circumstances."

The Regional Collision Investigation Team can be contacted on 101 or by email at
