Four women have this morning (17 April) been arrested in connection with an on-going fraud investigation at a Birmingham school.
The quartet – all aged in their 40s – were arrested at around 7am from separate addresses in Birmingham and Solihull; it's alleged they are involved in a bogus resignation letters plot at Adderley Primary School in Saltley.
Police have launched a murder investigation nearly three months after a man was found collapsed in a Moseley street.
Phillip Floyd , 50, was found on Forest Road on Tuesday 28 January and was rushed to hospital with serious facial injuries where he died a short time later.
Initial investigations looked at the possibility that he may have been the victim of a hit-and-run. But following a further post mortem examination, it was concluded that he died after suffering a severe blow to the head and a murder investigation has now been launched.
A teenager has suffered serious burns after being attacked on her doorstep by a man who doused her in what’s believed to be a high-strength cleaning fluid.
The 19-year-old, from MacDonald Close in Tividale, answered a knock at the door at around 3pm on Tuesday (April 15) when the caller assaulted her with the caustic liquid.
