A biker clocked going up to 140mph on a Birmingham trunk road has been handed six points on his licence and a hefty fine − the latest speeder caught in West Midlands Police’s clampdown on street racers.
Anwar Hussain, from Kenelm Road in Small Heath, appeared before city magistrates on Monday (March 3) to admit racing with a fellow biker along Fort Parkway, near the Spitfire Island, on August 18 last year.
Three people have been arrested this morning as five addresses were raided in Coventry as part of dawn drugs raids.
The addresses, in the Foleshill area, were all subject to simultaneous raids at 5am today (Friday) after a four month planned operation to crackdown on ongoing drug dealing in Coventry and the wider West Midlands.
