Four arrested in connection with Brownhills non-stop collision
Four people have been arrested in connection with a non-stop collision, in which two men were injured, in Brownhills in the early hours Sunday morning.
Two men were taken to hospital following the crash on Hednesford Road at around 12.50am on 10 August.
A white van was in collision with two men who were walking along the pavement near to the Thai Lanna Restaurant. The van failed to stop following the collision and was later recovered in Kingstanding.
One of the men, aged 42, has been detained in hospital with serious injuries, the other man was treated and released for minor injuries following the collision.
Three men and a teenage girl have since been arrested in connection with the collision. A 24-year-old man from Erdington and a 17-year-old girl from Bloxwich remain in police custody and will be questioned on suspicion of attempted murder. Two men, aged 30 and 23, have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
DI Phil Asquith from Force CID said: "I would like to appeal to anyone who was in Hednesford Road near the junction of Wilkin Road in Brownhills on Saturday night into Sunday morning and who may have information about the collision to call police on 101."
