Teenagers charged after fire on bus in Sparkbrook


Police have today (5 August) charged two teenagers after fire destroyed a double-decker bus in Sparkbrook on 12 June.
Two 16 year olds, one from Birmingham and the other from Solihull, have both been charged with setting fire to the National Express bus.
In addition two adults have been charged with perverting the course of justice in connection with the investigation.
They are a 49-year-old woman from Small Heath and a 59-year-old man also from Small Heath.
All four have been bailed to appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court on 28 August.
The two teenagers have been charged with arson with intent to endanger life or reckless as to whether life was endangered.
