Woman dies three weeks after crash as police re-appeal for witnesses

A Wednesbury woman who was seriously injured in a collision with a lorry three weeks ago has lost her fight for life.

Lorraine Sheridan, aged 62, died in the early hours of yesterday morning (18 June) as a result of the injuries she sustained in the crash on the morning of Friday 30 May on High Bullen, Wednesbury.

Collision investigators continue to appeal for witnesses to come forward to help them piece together the circumstances of the collision, which led to the road being closed for several hours.

PC Adam Green, from the Regional Collision Investigation unit, said: "This happened on a busy dual carriageway on a Friday morning and there would have been a number of people in the area at the time.

"We need to provide answers for the family of Lorraine and our sympathies are with them following their tragic loss."

Anyone with information is asked to call the Collision Investigation Unit on 101.
