Search for missing woman called off after body found in reservoir

Police have called off the search for missing Birmingham woman Asha Khan after a finding a body in Edgbaston Reservoir earlier today (11 June).
The discovery, at around 10:10am, came four days after officers originally appealed for help to find the 44-year-old when she failed to arrive at work on Saturday morning (7 June).
Her death is being treated as unexplained at this stage.
The reservoir was cordoned off throughout the day whilst forensic investigators examined the scene but that cordon has now been lifted.
Police would like to thank everyone who assisted with the search for Asha by calling in with information and by sharing the appeal on social media.
