PC Nicola Sephton is the scourge of ‘dippers’ and ‘jammers’!
 
As a Wolverhampton city centre officer she helps keep shoppers safe from pick-pockets and recently helped lock up a prolific purse dipper believed to be responsible for tens of sleight-of-hand thefts.
 
Out of uniform she’s equally dogged in her pursuit of ‘jammers’ – the opponent’s star player in her chosen, high-octane hobby Roller Derby.

Sketch of suspect released as investigation continues into Coventry assault

Detectives have today released a sketch of a man they want to speak to after a woman was assaulted in Tile Hill Woods earlier this month.

The 44-year-old was walking through the woods with her dogs at around 3.15pm on Thursday 4 September when a man approached her and pulled her to the floor. One of her dogs then scared the man off and he left the area.

CCTV released after Birmingham road-rage attack

Police have released CCTV footage after a woman attacked another woman after she had been asked to move the car she was in, which was blocking her in a road in Birmingham.

The assault took place around 1pm Wednesday 30 July outside the Shalil Food store in Wellington Road, Handsworth Wood.

Man charged over Birmingham gallery theft

A man has been charged over the theft of a sculpture from a Birmingham art gallery.
 
Mark Roberts, aged 41, of Mount Pleasant Court, Small Heath was charged this evening (Friday, 19 September) with stealing the piece, which was removed from Castle Fine Art Gallery on 17 August.

Appeal after cyclist dies in Coventry collision

Police are appealing for information after a man lost his life in a Coventry collision this morning (19 September).
 
Officers were called to Allard Way junction with Binley Road at around 6.25am following reports of a mini-bus in collision with a cyclist.
 
A 54-year-old cyclist was treated for serious injuries but despite the best efforts of medical staff he unfortunately died at the scene.
