A security operation begins this week in Birmingham as West Midlands Police prepare for the Conservative Party Conference on Sunday (28 September).
The operation has been months in the planning and has involved close working with Birmingham City Council, Marketing Birmingham, the International Convention Centre, the Hyatt and many other partners.

A man found stabbed to death in a Wolverhampton street has been formally identified as 21-year-old Joshua Price from Stowlawn.
Joshua was found lying on the floor in Treynham Close, Stowlawn, at 9.30pm on Saturday night and was pronounced dead at the scene having suffered a fatal stab wound to the chest.
A team of detectives have been assigned to the case and are working shifts around the clock in a bid to swiftly identify and apprehend the killer.

A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving after flipping through a garden wall and coming to rest on top of a parked car. Officers on patrol in Hall Green this morning (Sept 30) spotted a Renault Clio overtaking another car at high speed.
It failed to stop for officers and moments later careered onto the driveway of a property in Olton Boulevard East before mounting the homeowner’s car with its front wheels rammed through the windscreen.
