Since 1 May 2015 police misconduct and special case hearings have been held in public in accordance with new national legislation. The change was introduced to increase transparency, accountability and public confidence.

Whilst on duty the officer is alleged to have assaulted a member of the public who was under arrest by punching him to the face.
Legally Qualified Chair
Conditions placed by Chair
In accordance with the Police (Conduct) Amendment Regulations 2015 the Legally Qualified Chair appointed from a list maintained by the Police and Crime Commissioner. This appointment is independent of West Midlands Police.
In accordance with the regulations the outcome will also be published.
