Preparing for emergencies

Integrated Emergency Management

The Integrated Emergency Management team are responsible for ensuring that officers and staff are trained to react to major incidents and threats. This is achieved by working closely with partner agencies to continually plan our responses to identified risks.

Major incident testing

We regularly carry out major incident exercises. The scenarios, which include partner agencies such as the ambulance and fire service, are made to feel as real as possible with actors playing victims. Our response to the mock incident is then reviewed to make sure we are trained for real scenarios.
