How to Obtain Information
The Force publication scheme has been designed to highlight information and publications currently available from West Midlands Police (See information classes currently published). Where information is available online a hypertext link will direct you to the correct page on the website. Where no online version is available, or you would like to request information not covered in the publication scheme, you should apply in writing to the address given below.

Please note that any requests received via email after 5pm Monday to Thursday will be recorded as received the next working day. Any requests received after 5pm on a Friday will be recorded as received the following Monday.
When requesting information please include the following details:
- Your name and address
- The information or documents you would like to access
- The way you would like the information to be sent to you (e.g. hard copy, via e-mail)
Fees & charging
In most cases you won't have to pay anything as the information is free, but in some instances the information you require may take a little longer to retrieve or cost more to copy, so you may be charged to cover administration costs.
If a fee is required you will be informed how much you will have to pay and to whom. On receipt of the payment we will give you the information.
How long will it take?
We aim to provide the information requested within 20 working days.
Right to appeal
Any person who has requested information from West Midlands Police and is unhappy with the way their request for information has been handled can request a review o f their case.
