RSS feeds allow you to subscribe to website content - so you automatically get notified when a new item, eg an appeal for help, is added.
A feed is a special file which can be automatically read by software on your computer.
There are many different companies offering "feed readers", a lot of which are free of charge. You can also get add-ons for MS Outlook. Search google for a list of RSS readers.
Once you've got a feed reader, you can add one of the above feeds. Right click on one of the above links and choose copy shortcut. Paste this into your feed reader, following the instructions they have provided.
