Griffin was first launched for the City of London in 2004. The project now aims to raise awareness about counter terrorism measures among all city centre security personnel. The aim is to help security officers and managers become better equipped to deal with the challenges of a major incident.
West Midlands Police run regular Griffin seminars for invited organisations. Delegates are briefed by Security Advisors on the current threat levels and informed how, in an emergency situation, they can best help the police and other services.
