WEST Midlands Police’s Letters of the Law continues today with K for Keep ‘em Peeled as we go behind the scenes at a busy CCTV control centre.
Police camera operators Keep ‘em Peeled around the clock at CCTV control centres across the West Midlands on the lookout for suspects, anti-social or suspicious behaviour, and crimes in progress.
And Letters of the Law visits Sedgley police station on Friday (Nov 23) to spend time with officers responsible for monitoring the 140+ cameras covering the entire borough of Dudley.
Through a day of regular tweets – using hashtag #WMPCCTV – photos and YouTube videos we’ll report on real-time incidents as they appear on screen, explore the advanced CCTV technology at operators' fingertips, and show how the camera team play a vital role in keeping our communities safe.
