The Air Operations Unit, which operates from Birmingham International Airport, is one of the most experienced of its kind in the country and has recently launched a new state of the art helicopter fitted with some of the most sophisticated equipment and communications systems currently available.

The helicopter, a Eurocopter EC–135P2i, replaces the MD 902 Explorer.
