Man charged with Tipton burglary

A 32-year-old man was due to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court today (Saturday 5 September) charged with burglary and a public order offence.

Unemployed Karl Pearsall of Keelinge Street, Tipton was charged last night and remanded in custody to appear before Magistrates today.

Police appeal for witnesses after teen injured in collision  

Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a teenager was seriously injured in a Birmingham collision.

Emergency services were called to Small Heath Highway, Small Heath just after 9pm last night (3 September) following reports of a collision involving a black BMW and a child.

Dash cam images clues to Tipton bike robbery

Images from a dash cam have been released after two brothers had their bikes stolen just before 6.30pm on 27 June on Upper Church Lane, Tipton.

The brothers, who are local and aged 13 and 15, were approached outside Kwik Save and threatened. The pair were hit in the face before their attackers rode off along Powis Avenue.

Dating conman jailed after leaving lonely hearts broke

A callous dating site conman who left three women facing financial ruin by tricking them into handing over £120,000 has been jailed for five years following an investigation by West Midlands Police’s fraud team.

Jobless Ammar Haider, from Augusta Road in Acocks Green, convinced three lonely hearts he was a trainee international airline pilot and struck up rapid romances his victims believed were destined for the altar. He persuaded them to part with their savings, pawn possessions and take out loans for him with bogus sob stories about relatives on death's door and an elaborate ruse about him being jailed in Dubai.

The 17-year-old from West Heath − who cannot be named due to his age − will appear before Birmingham Magistrates Court today charged with attempted murder.

A 45-year-old man will appear at Birmingham Magistrates Court today (Thursday 3 September) charged with attempted murder.

Engineer Samuel Rogers, of Redford Drive, Walsall, was charged this morning with five counts of attempted murder and drink driving.

Thief swiped £7,000 pedal cycle - do you recognise him?

An opportunist thief tries to cover his face as he moves in to swipe a £7,500 bicycle from a petrol station forecourt - but police are confident someone will recognise him or his distinctive ‘melting trainer’ top.

The man struck on the afternoon of Thursday August 20 at the Shell garage in Northgate, Aldridge, and rode off on the bespoke bike when the rider left it unattended to get change from the kiosk. Do you recognise him?

CCTV released of man wanted following armed shop robbery

Police have released CCTV images of a man wanted in connection with an armed robbery in Rednal. 

The man was caught on camera at the Spar in Edgewood Road at 9.55pm on July 23.

He entered the shop armed with a handgun and threatened staff and customers.

He then forced two staff and two customers into an office area, before stealing an amount of cash and escaping on foot.
